Elevate your web navigation while enjoying the familiarity of Firefox.
Enhance your Firefox experience with the Firefox Second Sidebar, a powerful userChrome.js script designed to add a second sidebar featuring web panels, akin to those found in browsers like Vivaldi, Floorp, and Zen.
Motivation
While there are numerous forks of Firefox available, I remain dedicated to using the original browser. Inspired by features from other browsers that I enjoyed, I developed this script to incorporate a versatile sidebar with engaging web panel capabilities.
Features
- Seamless Web Panel Addition: Easily create new web panels with a simple left-click on the plus sign; the current page URL is automatically populated.
- Customized Sidebar Width: Adjust the sidebar's width individually for each web panel, providing a personalized browsing experience.
- Pinning Functionality: Pin or unpin the sidebar at will. The pinned sidebar remains in a static position next to your page, while the unpinned option overlays the page and disappears when not in focus.
- Effortless Panel Management: Right-click on any web panel button to edit settings such as the web address, favicon, or memory options. You can also delete or move web panels with ease.
- Enhanced Navigation Control: Manage the content within web panels with features for back/forward navigation, refresh, and home page access.
- Visual Indicators: Stay informed with sound notifications and dimmed icons for unloaded web panels.
