Explore dynamic visualizations with our flexible vector field simulator
Pitch

Dive into the world of vector fields with our versatile simulator, inspired by innovative concepts. Easily customize and create animated vector fields right on your local system. Perfect for showcasing complex phenomena, this tool empowers users to visualize data patterns interactively and intuitively, enhancing both learning and creativity.

Description

The VectorFieldSimulator is an innovative simulator designed to dynamically visualize vector fields, inspired by the remarkable work of anvaka's Fieldplay. This project offers a flexible framework, empowering developers to experiment with various vector fields and create unique animated representations.

Key Features:

  • Flexibility: The simulator allows users to easily modify and customize vector fields. You can alter the DemoVectorFields.UNDULATING parameter in the Test.java file to explore different vector fields, or even develop your own by referencing DemoVectorFields.java for guidance.
  • GPU Acceleration: For enhanced performance and fluidity, the simulator works best when leveraging GPU acceleration, allowing for more complex visualizations to be rendered smoothly.

Getting Started:

To use the VectorFieldSimulator on your local machine, simply clone the repository and edit the Test.java file to change the vector fields as desired. After making your adjustments, run the Test.java file to see the results.

For an overview of its capabilities, check out the test run video here and explore additional materials in this Google Drive folder.
